Both Hunters Point South Park and Gantry Plaza State Park provide great spaces for sunbathing. In Hunters Point South Park, the greens adjacent to the oval are ideal for laying out. The oval is very suitable, too, though it is covered in artificial grass and on busy days or during the weekends, chances are that there will be people playing soccer or football right there.
The main lawn in Gantry Park is a fabulous spot to tan up… perfect in size and very even grounds… and the full frontal skyline view is unbeatable…
If you are looking for something a bit different, Pier 3, one of four located in the park, is actually called the Sunning Pier and comes with wooden chaise lounges that you can lie down on and sunbathe all day…
The great thing is, in these LIC waterfront parks, you can feel comfortable baring a little skin because it isn’t as crowded and people tend to be so dumbfounded by the amazing views that they usually forget about the lightly dressed ladies all around.
