For the second season, HPPC will host a volleyball team.

Live at the Gantries, a series of free, outdoor performances featuring a collection of Queens-based musicians as diverse as the borough itself is coming back to LIC. Performances are scheduled on Tuesdays at 7 pm, until August 25. The 2015 Season features performances of jazz standards, Doo Wop, traditional Mexican music, New Orleans blues, and world music!

Jazz up your Sundays with free outdoor concerts in Gantry Plaza State Park. Now in its fourth season and bigger than ever before, LIC Concerts features 9 concerts showcasing unique Long Island City based musicians sponsored by more than 20 local businesses.

Join Queens Library, Hunters Point Parks Conservancy, LIC Community Garden, Long Island City Community Boathouse and Green Shores NYC for fun filled activities on July 18th on the occasion of City of Water Day!

Join the Long Island City YMCA on Wednesday evenings this summer from 7-8pm as they host a wide variety of FREE fitness classes at Gantry State Park. Enjoy the great outdoors while getting a great workout to high energy music with their best instructors. There will also be opportunities to learn about the many programs that the LIC YMCA has to offer. Classes begin on June 10th and continue through August 12th, 2015.

Hunters Point Parks Conservancy (HPPC) will host a meeting with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) to discuss plans for Phase 2 of the Hunters Point South Park along the Long Island City waterfront. The meeting will be 6:30 p.m. June 1 at the City Lights Condo at 474 48th Avenue in Long Island City.
