The new complexes under development at Hunter’s Point South will comprise 5,000 housing units, 60 percent of which will be affordable to middle income families. Phase I of the construction is scheduled for completion in 2014. The application period for the affordable rental units at Hunters Point South was expected to begin during the first quarter of this year. Once available, information about the application process and eligibility requirements can be retrieved on the website of the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). You can subscribe to their email updates to stay up to date.
